We recommend that those attending use green methods of transport to reach us, not only in sympathy with the themes of the day, but as nearby on-street parking is extremely limited. On-site parking will only be available to conference speakers and blue badge holders.
You may find the journey planner at Transport Direct useful.
Rail
National Rail have a rail journey planner.
Castle Street Methodist Church is about 2.5km from Cambridge railway station. The Citi 1 bus runs every 10 minutes. Get off at Chesterton Road/Hertford Street and walk along Chesterton Road to Castle Street then up the hill to the church.
Bus
Citi bus routes 1, 2, 5 and 7 all run close to the church. Stagecoach have maps and timetables.
Bicycle
There are many cycle routes in Cambridge. You may find this Journey Planner helpful.
Unfortunately there is a lack of decent cycle parking close to the church. On the Castle Street side, there are some old-fashioned "butterfly" racks between the church and church hall, as well as the iron railings.
Park and Ride
There is a Park and Ride scheme operating in several parts of the city to help reduce traffic congestion in the city centre. It offers free parking places on the outskirts of the city with frequent buses into the centre.
Please use the Park and Ride if at all possible. The County Council have more detailed information.
