Carbon Conversations

This course has now finished. Contact Cambridge Carbon Footprint for details of other Carbon Conversations courses in the area.

Fabiola Blum and Meg Clarke will be running a Carbon Conversations Course at Castle Street, starting in October 2009. The course is looking at our personal impact on Climate Change in our home through electricity and heating, travel, food and consumption. The course consists of six friendly, practical meetings with the aim to help us halve our carbon footprint.

The course gives food for thought and practical ideas. Being together in a group provides great support as there is a lot to share and learn from each other. We will explore the impacts of Climate Change through practical games and exercises.

The course will take a Christian faith perspective but will be open to everybody. It will be useful both for people completely new to the Climate Change debate and to those who have given this some thought already.

We will meet fortnightly on Thursdays from 1900-2100 on 1st, 15th and 29th October and 12th and 26th November at the church. Course members will receive a Carbon Conversations handbook, which is full of useful resources and ideas, and access to books and equipment such as energy meters. The course runs in conjunction Cambridge Carbon Footprint and costs £15.
